Mango Berry Green Smoothie
I just can't get enough of green smoothies as they are seriously so yummy, healthy and refreshing. You're eating your veggies without even realizing it! That's the BEST part and since I want to physically see the benefits and results from drinking this magical potion, I am planning on drinking one everyday. I mean, why not? Yes they are "green" but they do not taste like it.
I recently just made a delicious smoothie with frozen mango chunks, berries, almond milk for creaminess and finally some baby greens. It was absolutely refreshing, with the ideal amount of sweetness, hydration and concentration that I was looking for. I honestly recommend it for your snack or even to substitute a meal as it is quite filling. Well, I did drink two full glasses of this stuff. No shame or guilt at all, it is that good and that healthy. (The pictures don't do it any justice, but the smoothie is a beautiful bright purple). Thought that was important to mention 😜
This recipe makes more than one serving, about 2-3, perfect for if you want to save a bit for the next day's breakfast (that's usually what I do).
Below are the results I am wishing to get from drinking such healthy deliciousness:
Benefits
- Clear Skin
- Antioxidants for the body
- Detox and Cleansing
- Natural weight loss and fitness
- Essential vitamins, minerals, healthy carbs, fiber
- Hydration (I'm not a big water drinker)
- Increased energy
Tip: I find that having frozen fruits on hand is the best way to drink your daily smoothie as it will save you time when it comes to cutting your own fruit.
Also, I love the idea of using an assortment of greens in each smoothie for maximum benefits. For this I rely loads on the Organic Girl products for their freshness and the convenience they provide since their greens have been pre-washed.
Mango Berry Green Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen Mango Chunks
- 1 cup frozen Blue Berries
- 1 cup frozen Rasberries
- 1 1/2 cup mixed baby greens (kale, spinach, green chard, green romaine, oakleaf lettuce, tango lettuce) I used the Organic Girl I ❤️ baby kale!
- 1 1/2 cups Almond Milk
- 1 1/2 cups Water
Step
Place everything in a blender and blend until smooth. If too thick add more water. Serve right away as the frozen fruit acts as the ice in this smoothie. However, it keeps well if you want to save some for the next day.
