The homeowners from this challenging, yet potential filled, dated kitchen enlisted the services of Synonymous to envision the intricate details for this awkward space yearning to be designed with functionality in mind. Synonymous consulted on everything from opening up the entryway, so that the kitchen flowed with the pass-through dining room and visible living room. Through to developing a sympathetic concept design that merged seamlessly with the rest of the home. Our design team worked around foundational elements that could not be altered, such as the awkward shape of the kitchen itself. Creating a space plan that maximized storage, while still utilizing the nook off to the left of the kitchen for added pantry space and locating the refrigerator. Hard finishes included quartz countertops, subway tile backsplash, slate floors and simple shaker style cabinet door fronts adorned with brushed brass hardware. This kitchen was once dreary, tired, dark and lacked functionality for the lovely couple. Now, it is a bright and spacious space with organized interiors.
