I never imagined I would ever have to mention the word "poo" on this blog but it will be necessary when discussing the poo (there it goes again) spray used for when nature calls.  If you ever have an egg salad blowout disaster in the bathroom no one will EVER know if you spray some No.2 spray before you go.

It works so well because the essential oils create a physical barrier, trapping the stink below.  You don't even have to do a courtesy flush (saving you loads of water in the long-run).  The ingredients are only three- Vodka, distilled water and an essential oil blend making it a simple DIY project you can whip up in minutes.

The original product is called Poo-Pourri, an interesting, maybe even appropriate name for such miracle of a spray.  Yet, it is made of essential oils (a patented blend) with other secret ingredients, stored in a elegant, appealing looking packaging.  It has nothing on my DIY abilities my friends, so you know when I found out about this I decided to make my own, that is as effective and soooo cheap too.

The scent in this particular poo spray is fresh, clean and airy (is the sensation I felt when I used it) due to the peppermint.  It is also citrusy with the grapefruit and warm with the lavender.  I actually added 10 drops of peppermint oil and it almost smelled of just that.  So I recommend to begin with 2-5 drops for just a hint of minty freshness.  Add more if you wish.

I could't help but share this hilarious campaign video made by PooPourri.  I like that it shows with diagrams how the product really works.  Your own DIY version will work exactly the same!
